Under the umbrella of GAS, IST has always been very proactive in assisting the placement of the students into the profiles of their preference. Even PGIMS, being new existent is no less. The institutes have well-organised placement team which play a crucial role in assisting job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement team operates round the year to generate and facilitate contacts between companies and students. The teams organise both on & off campus interviews and as a result the number of students placed through the campus interviews is increasing every year making is more proud and confident.
To accomplish the goal of the Training and Placement Cell which is to provide employment opportunities, the placement cell facilitates soft skill training programs, seminars, industry-institute interactions, workshops, aptitude tests, guidance & counselling classes, competitive exam trainings and securing placements for students in reputed organisations. The Training and Placement Cell of the college provides guidance & assistance to enable the students acquire the best possible employability and entrepreneurship skills. It provides students a platform to access and imbibe valuable resources and also acts as an interface with various companies who are seeking talented young graduates in various disciplines. TPC imparts training to students from the first year onwards giving emphasis to motivational skills, leadership qualities, communication skills, group discussions and interview techniques to ensure best possible career opportunities to all our students. We nurture industry-institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent Webinars, Industrial visits in-plant Training and Projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the gap between the Industry and Academia. Students are also given an opportunity to work on live projects in both government and non-government firms.
Our ingenious alumnae have set new standards in the corporates, industries and institutions all over the country and beyond through their outstanding contributions and hopefully will continue that legacy in the years to come.
We have an commendable record of assisting in placements. From the inception of the institutions, average 85% of our students have been placed at the end of each academic session. From various wings of TATA, reliance to Haldia Petrochem, our students are placed in all big brands of India. Nonetheless, they have explored several projects in abroad as well. We strongly believe that innovation is the fuel for ameliorating the socio-economic competitiveness of developing
nations like India. Indian innovation ecosystem relies heavily upon the academic sector to keep itself propelling. Industry is forever scouting innovative ideas that address their R&D problems and on the other hand, academia is in pursuit of a hand-holding to translate and scale-up it's lab research. Considering this we have worked out for a framework in which industry and academia could come together in a win-win situation.The industry-Institute Partnership Cell of the college is dedicated to promote the close interaction of industry and various departments of the institute. The IIP Cell facilitates consultancy, sponsored R&D projects and industrial and academic trainings which are not prescribed in the syllabus in addition to conducting industrial exhibitions and interaction meets. As a result of tireless efforts taken in the research activities, the college has to its credit many research publications in National and International peer reviewed Journals. The faculty members have also presented research papers in various reputed national and international conferences. Furthermore, last but not least to mention that Industrial training has been made mandatory for all Under-Graduate Branches. This gives wide exposure about the various functions of the Industries.

The Information Technology industry is connecting to
grow at a healthy rate as business are heavily
dependent on IT applications for their operation. More
and more enterprises are utilizing IT outsourcing as a
strategic means to achieve business goal such as cost
