Grievance Redressal Cell

Gopsai Avinandan Sangha (group of Institutions) is committed to providing a safe, fair and harmonious learning and work environment. To pride the same and inn compliance with the regulations laid down by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC), our society has established a Central Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) to address and resolve grievances of students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders if any, promptly and effectively.

Objectives

Gopsai Avinandan Sangha Group of Institutions believes in creating a conducive environment for learning and growth by addressing issues that may hinder students’ academic progress or affect their physical and mental wellbeing and thus building mutual confidence and trust among students, staff and other stakeholders. Commensuration with this ideal & belief the objective of the Central Grievance Redressal Cell is to provide a mechanism for redressal of grievances related to academic and non-academic matters, if any and to ensure a fair, impartial, and consistent process for addressing concerns.

Regulatory Framework

The functioning of the Grievance Redressal Cell is governed by the following regulations:

  • AICTE (Redressal of Grievance of Students) Regulations, 2019
  • Gazette Notification No. F. AICTE/DPG/06(02)/2019, dated 07.11.2019
  • UGC (Grievance Redressal) Regulations, 2023
  • Notification No. F. No. 14-4/2012 (CPP-II), dated 11.04.2023

Functions of the Grievance Redressal Cell

  • To address grievances raised by students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • To investigate complaints in a fair and unbiased manner.
  • To ensure time-bound redressal in accordance with AICTE and UGC guidelines.
  • To create awareness among stakeholders about grievance redressal mechanisms.
  • To report serious issues to the appropriate regulatory bodies if required.

Types of Grievances Addressed

  • Academic matters (assessment, attendance, examinations, etc.)
  • Harassment (including sexual harassment)
  • Financial matters (fees, refunds, scholarships)
  • Administrative issues
  • Infrastructure-related complaints
  • Any other issues affecting student welfare or campus life

Procedure for Filing a Grievance

  • Grievances can be submitted through:
  • Online grievance portal (if available)
  • Email to the GRC : pro@gasonline.org.in
  • Written complaint to the designated officer
  • Acknowledgment of grievance within 3 working days.
  • Resolution process to be completed within 15 working days from receipt.

Appeal Process

    If the complainant is not satisfied with the decision of the Grievance Redressal Committee, an appeal can be made to the Ombudsperson appointed by the affiliating university or regulatory authority as per UGC norms.
