Management

Management as a discipline refers to that branch of knowledge which is connected to study of principles & practices of basic administration. It specifies certain code of conduct to be followed by the manager & also various methods for managing enterprises and resources efficiently. Though it is comparatively a new discipline but it is growing at a faster pace.
The Department of Management Studies of IST offers 3 Under graduate courses like Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Hospital Management (HM) in 2005 & 2 Post Graduate courses like Master in Computer Application (MCA), Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) in the year 2012 & 2018 respectively. These courses are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and currently affiliated to the MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) formerly known as WBUT and recognized by AICTE.
With the increased demand of Management as a discipline, Gopsai Avinandan Sangha had to increase more seats; so we gave all the effort to have more seats and finally got approval under P.G Institute of Medical Sciences in the year 2021. Bachelor of Hospital Administration and Master in Hospital Administration are affiliated by West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by Govt. of West Bengal with 50 seat intakes in each stream.
Further, in the year 2022 two Post graduate courses like Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Finance, HR, Marketing, Insurance & Risk Management, Retail Management & Safety Management & Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) have been commenced under P.G Institute of Medical Sciences which are affiliated by Vidyasagar University and recognized by Higher Education Department, Bikash Bhaban, Govt. of West Bengal.
